Barton County woman dies in vehicle crash

A Barton County woman died in a traffic collision just after 2 o’clock yesterday afternoon in Ellsworth County. The Kansas Highway Patrol reported that a 2019 Chrysler Pacifica driven by 40-year-old Danielle Hoskins was westbound on Interstate 70 just east of the Highway 156 exit. Authorities say she was driving in the right lane when she attempted to cross the median at a crossover.

Cement truck crash injures driver

The driver of a cement truck was transported to the hospital after the truck overturned at a south Great Bend intersection Monday afternoon. According to Barton County Sheriff Brian Bellendir, at shortly before 2:30 p.m. Monday, BCSO deputies responded to the intersection of Railroad Avenue at Washington Street at the south city limits of Great Bend, where they discovered a 2006 Mack cement truck that had overturned in the curve and was lying across the railroad tracks.

Driver hurt when cement truck overturns

GREAT BEND – A Great Bend truck driver was injured Monday when his cement truck overturned near the city limits, blocking a railroad track for more than an hour. Barton County Sheriff’s deputies responded at about 2:25 p.m. to Railroad Avenue at Washington Street, on the Great Bend’s southern city limits, according to a release from Sheriff Brian Bellendir.

Cement truck overturns on Great Bend railroad tracks, driver injured

GREAT BEND, Kan. (KWCH) - The driver of a cement truck suffered critical injuries in a Monday afternoon crash in Great Bend. The Barton County Sheriff’s Office said the driver failed to negotiate a curve and the truck overturned on railroad tracks. The sheriff’s office said there was no immediate evidence of damage to the tracks, but K&O (Kansas and Oklahoma) Railroad would inspect them.
