Lake area man charged in shooting

A Sunrise Beach man faces felony assault charges after a Thursday shooting. 36 year old Corbin Everitt is accused of shooting the victim during a fight. Law officers found him hiding inside beauty salon. Investigators believe that Everitt’s family members helping hide him from officers.

Sudden, Violent Storm Damages Two Planes At Lake Of The Ozarks Area Airport

BRUMLEY, Mo. — Two airplanes were damaged in a powerful storm that blew through the Lake area over the weekend. It was Saturday evening, Aug. 6, and while most folks on the Lake only saw dark clouds or a bit of rain, areas just east of the Lake were pummeled by the sudden storm. Lee C Fine airport, in Lake of the Ozarks State Park, saw extremely high winds and heavy rain: they estimate 1-3/4” of rain fell in a very short period of time. It was during that storm that two planes were battered.

Sexual misconduct allegations for Kaiser man

MILLER COUNTY, Mo. - A Kaiser man is accused of sexual misconduct involving a child, according to Miller County Sheriff. The department says it received information that 41-year-old Jeffery Andrews had been allegedly sending explicit photos and messages to an 11-year-old child. Later, said photos and messages were recovered by investigators from his cell phone.

LAWRENCE, Kan. – Authorities arrest a suspect in Kansas wanted for killing four people in Ohio. Police in Montgomery County’s Butler Township said late Saturday night 39-year-old Stephen Marlow was taken into custody by police in Lawrence, Kansas. He is wanted in Ohio for shooting and killing four people with one of victim being a teenage girl. They say Marlow will be sent to Ohio to face charges. Follow this story here.

Weekend Storms Damage Planes At Lee C Fine

Damage to several planes and more at Lee C Fine airport in Osage Beach over the weekend. Officials say strong storms blew around trees and knocked a few planes on their wings. Photos on social media show one plane on its engine, while the wings are broken on both sides.
