Bristol man charged in double homicide in Maine

A Bristol man was captured in Maryland Friday in connection to a double homicide in Maine earlier in June, according to Maine State Police. David Barnett, 34, also known as “Slim,” was arrested outside of an apartment complex in Rockville, Maryland on Friday afternoon on a murder warrant, Maine State Police announced in a press release.

Joshua Daniel Danehower, 33, stands accused of murdering 32-year-old DonorSee founder Gret Glyer by shooting him several times late last week. The deceased man was shot 10 times, including four times in the head and twice in the neck. The incident occurred inside of the victim’s own home in Fairfax, Va. during the early morning hours as his family slept, police say.

Police called after assault at Rockville restaurant

Rockville City police responded to a 911 caller in the 1800 block of E. Jefferson Street Thursday afternoon. The individual reported having been the victim of an aggravated assault at a nearby restaurant at 4:15 PM. A weapon other than a firearm was used in the assault.

2 people disguised with police vests assaulted person, robbed NW DC business: MPD

WASHINGTON, DC (7News) — MPD is asking for help identifying and locating two people connected to an armed robbery in Northwest D.C. on June 23. Two suspects, seen wearing tactical vests with the word "Detective" written across the chest, entered a business in the 1500 block of 9th Street, Northwest at 2:11 p.m., pulled out handguns and demanded property, MPD said. The two suspects then assaulted victims and stole property before fleeing in two cars, MPD added.
