Paducah police investigating shooting on city’s north side

RAW VIDEO: Crews dig channel at Old City Lake in Marion, Ky. This video shows a crew from Belt Construction digging a channel at the upper end of Old City Lake to provide a direct connection from Crooked Creek to the main lake. This will allow a larger quantity of water from the upper part of Crooked Creek to run into the lake. It will also allow bulk water that will be hauled to a drop site upstream to more easily flow into the lake. They anticipate completing the channel sometime Wednesday to allow P&H Farms to start an additional bulk water hauling effort.

Police investigating after man injured in July 4 shooting in Paducah

PADUCAH — Police are investigating a shooting that injured a man early Monday morning in Paducah. The Paducah Police Department says officers were called to a disturbance during which shots were fired around 12:30 a.m. at a business in the 900 block of Boyd Street. Officers arrived to find a crowd of people dispersing from the area, the police department says. While at the scene, officers were told that the shooting happened at North 11th and Northview streets.

1 lane of KY 286 near Wickliffe closed due to semi truck crash

WICKLIFFE, Ky. (KBSI) – KY 286 is restricted to one lane at the 2 mile marker in Ballard County after a semi truck crash two miles east of Wickliffe. The crash caused the trailer to break in half. The truck was hauling paper towels and napkins which got scattered along the roadway. The remainder of the cargo is being off-loaded by hand.

Man arrested after brandishing handgun in lobby of Paducah hotel, police say

PADUCAH — A man was arrested over the weekend after police say he pulled out a handgun in the lobby of a downtown hotel, forcing people to have to evacuate the lobby. The Paducah Police Department says officers were called to the hotel at 9:18 p.m. Saturday after a man holding a gun entered the hotel and "acting aggressively." Hotel employees evacuated the lobby. The man went outside, police say, and employees locked the lobby doors to prevent him from reentering.

A McCracken County man was arrested Saturday evening after authorities said he pulled out a handgun at a hotel in downtown Paducah. Paducah police were called after a man entered the hotel with a handgun and began acting aggressively.
