Dorena-Hickman Ferry Temporarily Closed Due to Low Water Levels

HICKMAN, KY —The Dorena-Hickman Ferry is temporarily closed due to low water levels on the Mississippi River. The low water has blocked access to the Missouri Landing. The Cairo Gauge showed 17.56 ft. at 8 a.m., today. That was almost a half a foot below the forecast of 18 ft.

Tooley named Paducah Public Schools Director of Human Resources

Paducah Public Schools Director of Special Programs Amie Tooley will be transferring from her current position to Director of Human Resources. She most recently served the district as Director of Special Programs, previously worked in McCracken County Public Schools as the Director of Exceptional Children, as a regional consultant for the West Kentucky Special Education Cooperative, and as a school-based speech-language pathologist during her twenty-two-year career.
