SAN LEANDRO – Police in San Leandro made two arrests this week in connection with deadly shooting outside a bar back in March.According to officers, the victim was found with multiple gunshot wounds to the torso outside Cunha's Cocktails on 155 Pelton Center Way on the night of March 25. RIVERBANK (CBS13) – A man has died after a shooting in the Riverbank Applebee’s parking lot Thursday night.
The Stanislaus County Sheriff’s Office says, a little before 10 p.m., they got a report about a shooting at the Crossroads Shopping Center parking lot – which was full with people who were having celebrations after high school graduation ceremonies.
Exactly what led up to the incident is unclear, but detectives believe some sort of dispute happened inside the bar of the restaurant before the shooting outside.
Authorities say 40-year-old Riverbank resident Salvador Ramos was shot multiple times. He was rushed to the hospital and later died from his injuries, deputies say.
The suspect has been identified as 28-year-old Modesto resident Jonathan Alexander Ray. Deputies say he took off from the scene, but was later spotted by a law enforcement helicopter near Oakdale and Sylvan roads. Ray was then pulled over and arrested.
No other injuries have been reported after the shooting and detectives say they don’t believe there are any other outstanding suspects.
STOCKTON (CBS13) — Stockton police on Friday released video of a March shooting where officers shot and injured a 19-year-old man.
The chaotic scene happened on March 12 as two officers responded to a disturbance call on East Bianchi Road. The officers heard multiple gunshots and believed they were being shot at by someone in or near a black Chrysler.
Both officers opened fire.
In the video, it looks like one officer was walking a child up a flight of stairs seconds before the shooting started. Other people outside the home can be heard screaming.
No officers were hurt.
Investigators later found 19-year-old Sam Barlow nearby with gunshot wounds. Stockton police say he had a loaded gun magazine on him and they found a loaded rifle inside his car.
Barlow did survive.
