FAYETTEVILLE — West Plains (Mo.) Class of 2023 wide receiver Heston Miller turned some heads at Arkansas on Friday with his speed and even made some believers along the way. Miller, 6-0 1/2, 201, ran a 4.44 in the 40-yard dash in his first attempt. So he was asked to run again and this time he timed a 4.41. Thornfield Man Arrested for Making Death Threats, Fighting Deputies in Ozark County

Gainesville, Mo. – A Thornfield man was arrested after making death threats at a residence in Ozark County. Brandon Guidry of Thornfield was arrested by deputies with the Ozark County Sheriff’s Office after they received a call of an armed individual threatening to kill people at a residence in Isabella on June 14, 2022. Online court documents show that Guidry has a list of previous protection orders against him from the Isabella area from 2018.

Despite lake levels dropping, some campgrounds remain closed

Even with the levels dropping, several Corps of Engineers campgrounds on Norfork and Bull Shoals lakes still have campsites closed due to high water. According to Chief Ranger Dylan Edwards, who is in charge of both Norfork and Bull Shoals lakes, 376 of the 776 campsites have been closed due to flooding or high water. Edwards says while many of the sites are not under water, campsites had to be closed due to electrical concerns. Electrical lines feeding those campsites were under water and the electricity had to be shut-off.
