Santa Rosa County's interim county attorney resigns, search underway for permanent replacement

Santa Rosa County's interim attorney Greg Stewart resigned Wednesday, leaving the county scrambling to find permanent legal representation before the end of August. Stewart, who works with Tallahassee law firm Nabors, Giblin and Nickerson, has served as the county's main interim attorney since December 2020. Other attorneys from the same firm have also served the Board of County Commissioners, per the firm's agreement with the county.
