Motorcyclist dies in head on crash in Laurel County

LAUREL COUNTY, Ky. (WTVQ) – An Ohio man was killed Saturday afternoon when the motorcycle he was riding crashed head on i9nto a pickup. Laurel County Sheriff John Root said 53-year-old Domonic Edward Sanchez, of Xenia, Ohio, was westbound on KY1376 approximately six miles north of London on a Harley Davidson when the bike collided with an eastbound Chevrolet Silverado driven by 54-year-old Ronnie Davis, of Highway 490 in East Bernstad.

A Clay County, Kentucky Man in the Jackson County Detention Center now Charged with Murder

MANCHESTER, KY (June 13, 2021) - On Monday February 29, 2016 a single vehicle crash on Roots Branch Road claimed the life of a 26 year-old female passenger in the vehicle. According to a report published in the June 9, 2021 issue of The Enterprise, a Clay County man that was operating the vehicle has now been indicted for murder in the death of his wife who was killed in the crash.

Laurel County Police Conducting Death Investigation Following Discovery Of Body

Laurel County Sheriff John Root says Detective Taylor McDaniel is investigating the discovery of a body found off Laurel River Church Road, about 5 miles southeast of London Wednesday. Investigators were notified that a woman was found dead in a small creek by a home owner checking her mail. Investigators determined the body was that of a woman reported missing earlier in the morning, allegedly missing since the day before. The woman was identified as 48-year-old Deanne Barrett of Laurel River Church Road. An autopsy was to be conducted in Frankfort to help determine the circumstances surrounding the death.
