WISCONSIN RAPIDS – One person is dead following a motorcycle crash in the city of Nekoosa. “On June 22, 2022 at approximately 10:45 p.m., emergency services responded to a one vehicle, single rider motorcycle crash in the city of Nekoosa,” Nekoosa Police Chief Shawn Woods said in a release.

The Neillsville Recreation will hold Disc golf competitions on Tuesday mornings at 10:00 a.m. beginning July 12th and culminating with a youth tournament on Tuesday, August 9 th . 38th WBCA All Star Classic Results

The Wisconsin Baseball Coaches Association’s 38th All-Star Classic was held this past Friday and Saturday in Oshkosh. The top 72 high school seniors in the state competed on 4 different All-Star Teams. Camden Daul of Stratford, Noah Grimm of Pittsville, Cole Ladick of Wisconsin Rapids and Caden Thauer of Stevens Point were members of the West All-Stars Team while Neillsville head coach Dave Matson was a member of the West All-Star team coaching staff.

Marshfield Medical Center-Neillsville's Pediatric Rehab Program Receives Two Grants

Marshfield Medical Center-Neillsville’s pediatric rehab program recently grew, thanks to two grants from the Marshfield Clinic Health System Foundation. The first grant provided a total swing system, which provides multiple therapeutic opportunities for vestibular and proprioception sensory input, core stabilization, balance and more. The second grant provided a variety of toys that target different ages to help address gross motor needs and other skills.

Rafters float past Rockers

The Green Bay Rockers waited until the ninth inning to reach the scoreboard but it was too late as they dropped the game to the Wisconsin Rapids Rafters 7-2. There was no scoring at all until the seventh inning when the Rafters put two on the scoreboard. Neillsville & Marshfield Compete At WIAA/WBCA June-Jam -Scholastic Event

The WIAA/WBCA June-Jam -Scholastic Event was held at the Community First Champion Center in Appleton this past weekend. The Champion Center is the largest sports facility in the state with 8 beautiful hardwood courts all under one roof. 72 varsity boys basketball teams from around the state competed in the two day event. NCAA Division 1, 2, and 3 coaches as well as NAIA and NJCAA coaches were in attendance to scout the young talent.
