A Roseburg woman was jailed following an alleged trespass and harassment incident, by Roseburg Police on Thursday. Information from RPD said at 8:00 a.m. officers responded to a reported trespass in the 2400 block of Northwest Edenbower Boulevard. The 68-year old refused to leave the business and allegedly grabbed onto an employee’s arm when they told her to leave. She was charged with harassment and for second-degree disorderly conduct. Bail was set at $3,000.

ROSEBURG, Ore. -- Local airports are getting a big chunk of change to make improvements and expand. The Roseburg Regional Airport will get $200,000 to reconfigure its taxiway to meet Federal Aeronautics Administration standards. The Southwest Oregon Regional Airport in North bend will receive more than $1 million to update the existing northwest apron pavement and add another southwest apron to accommodate increased use on the Oregon coast. Roseburg Police jailed a man following an alleged elude incident Wednesday night. A Roseburg Police report said at 11:00 p.m. an officer observed a motorcycle fail to come to a complete stop while turning left onto Southeast Washington Avenue from Southeast Spruce Street. The officer attempted a traffic stop, but the motorcyclist began to elude as he headed west on West Harvard Avenue. The officer lost sight of the motorcycle and terminated the pursuit. While searching the area near West Nebo Street, the officer located the motorcycle.
Fire Chief Monte Bryan retired from the City of Roseburg staff on Thursday, after over 27 years of service that encompasses both the police and fire departments. Bryan said serving as the fire chief since April of last year has been a great learning experience, so retiring now after nearly three decades with the City is bittersweet.

ROSEBURG, Ore. (KPIC) — A 35-year-old Oregon man was charged with using traffic equipment to illegally collect parking fees for himself. According to the Roseburg Police Department report, an investigation revealed the man used an orange traffic cone, an orange protective vest, and a homemade sign on the roadway in an attempt to collect parking fees (or donations) from customers at a famers market.
