One place to turn is Remote Area Medical (RAM). RAM provides free medical services to rural Americans via traveling clinics that operate throughout the country. Since it was founded in 1985, RAM has treated more than 888,000 individuals delivering more than $181.5 million worth of free health care services. As well, it provides free veterinary services.

Ky. community looking for answers after flag stolen from veteran’s memorial

CLAY COUNTY, Ky. (WKYT) - Questions are being raised after an important part of a roadside makeshift veteran’s memorial in southern Kentucky was taken. Sgt. Glenn Stanfill was killed in 2004 when he was in a crash. The memorial was put up alongside the Hal Rogers Parkway in Manchester in his honor and memory, and now just recently they have had to replace the flag, not once, but twice.

Chase With Police Ends With Crash Into Telephone Pole

Two individuals were arrested in Letcher County on Monday following a police chase that ended when the driver crashed into a telephone pole. Whitesburg Police Department Officials say that 27-year-old Charles Michael Osborne was driving along Jenkins Road when he is said to have pulled out in front of an officer. The officer in question recognized Osborne as he was wanted for absconding from parole. A traffic stop was attempted, but Osborne opted to speed away, leading police on a chase through Hospital Road, RT 15, and RT 119.
