Wetumpka Investigators are seeking assistance in identifying unknown subjects involved in Felony Theft that occurred at Walmart in Wetumpka, AL on 6/30/2022. The suspects also stole a 2018 black Ford Escape on the same date from the Walmart parking lot.

MONTGOMERY, Ala. (WSFA) - The suspect in a 2020 Montgomery bank robbery and shooting learned his fate during a Thursday sentencing hearing. John Adam Vinson, Jr., 32, of Montgomery, will spend 30 years in federal prison for convictions of bank robbery and discharging a firearm during the commission of a crime of violence, according to United States Attorney Sandra J. Stewart.

Jeremiah Cobb, a 4-star running back out of Montgomery, Alabama, (Montgomery Catholic Preparatory) has announced a commitment to play in the SEC. Cobb, who is listed at 5-foot-11 and 186 pounds, announced on social media that he would play at Auburn. Cobb is rated the No. 8 running back in the class of 2023, and the No. 18 player in the state of Alabama, according to the 247Sports Composite. He has a reported 33 offers. Cobb thanked God, his mother, coaches and teammates as part of the announcement.

MONTGOMERY, Ala. (WSFA) - Mourners gathered Wednesday evening in honor of a Montgomery child who was murdered last week. A vigil and balloon release was held in honor of 12-year-old Nelson Harris, who was shot and killed while on his front porch. A woman on the porch was also shot but survived.
