Pocomoke City man guilty of nine counts of animal cruelty

(May 26, 2022) A Pocomoke City man was found guilty of nine counts related to animal cruelty last week for incidents stemming back to July 2021. On May 20, Michael Louis Parrett, 65, was charged with three counts of animal cruelty and six counts of animal cruelty for failing to provide the necessary healthy living conditions – things like nutritious food, necessary veterinary care, space, shelter, and protection for weather.

The Warriors won the game by a score of 5 to 0. Ripken Robbins got the start and win for the Warriors. Offensively the Warriors were led by Isaac Stodghill and Aiden McIntyre who went 2-3 at the plate. Tyler Greene, Ben Stodghill, Ripken Robbins and Martin Savage each had a hit. The Warriors will be in action again on Tuesday at home.

Wicomico County Woman Arrested for Kidnapping Baby

EDEN, Md.- A 24-year-old Wicomico County woman is facing kidnapping and related charges following accusations that she abducted a baby. Maryland State Police said that at around 3:45 p.m. Saturday, May 21, troopers received a 911 call from a frantic mother who advised her 1-year old child was just abducted from a home on the 24000 block of Rivermere Drive in Eden.
