Noblesville Police Dept. arrested two Noblesville residents May 26 after reports of shots fired in the 600 block of Washington Street in Noblesville. INDIANAPOLIS -- The two hurdles finals Thursday night at the Lawrence Central track and field boys regional were as heartbreaking as they were thrilling. In the 110-meter hurdles, Lawrence North senior James Vaden Jr., after running a personal record 14.48 seconds in the best time of prelims, was leading by a wide margin in the finals when he clipped his back foot on the second-to-last hurdle. Carmel pediatrician’s formula drive connects infants with needed nutrition

A Carmel pediatrician has put out the call for infant formula donations as stock remains in low supply at stores. Dr. Risa Davidson started the donation drive in mid-May. “I have the platform (as a local pediatrician on social media) and resources to do it. I am a safe place for families to do formula drop offs/pickups, so they are not traveling to other people’s homes,” Davidson said. “I also have the ability to make time for this based on the concept of my small practice.”

Samsung chooses Indiana for EV battery plant

Bloomington-Normal won’t be getting that Samsung EV battery plant after all. Samsung and automaker Stellantis announced this week they’re building a battery plant in Kokomo, Indiana, about an hour north of Indianapolis. The $2.5 billion factory is expected to begin production in 2025 and create about 1,500 jobs.
