A Washington man was given a deferred judgment for an incident that occurred on April 10th. Twenty-two year-old Lane Franklin Burlingame was originally charged with first-degree theft, a class C felony, operating without owner’s consent, an aggravated misdemeanor, and cited for trespassing. At 7:16 a.m. a resident in the 1000 block of Tupelo Boulevard northeast of Riverside informed the Washington County Communications Center that he saw someone take off with their gray Polaris Ranger with a cab, and that his truck was stuck in a field. A sheriff’s deputy responded, locating an unoccupied vehicle involved in an incident with anhydrous applicator, which suffered extensive front-end damage. The Polaris was then located at Burlingame’s residence in Washington.
