Two climbers rescued off Mt. Rainier after one falls 80 feet into crevasse

ASHFORD, Wash. – Two climbers were rescued after one fell 80 feet into a crevasse on Mt. Rainier. The two were on the mountain as early as May 11 at 8:10 p.m., when they called 911 to tell officials bad weather forced them to stop climbing at 12,800 feet. They were on the Kautz Glacier climbing route below the Wapowety Cleaver.

The varsity baseball squads of the four Edmonds School District high schools have a chance to make history on Saturday, May 14, but it will be no easy task.
