(CHEROKEE VILLAGE, AR) According to Cherokee Village gas price data, you could be saving up to $0.12 per gallon on gas. Murphy USA at 105 Us-62 W was the cheapest station in the area, according to a survey by GasBuddy, with regular listed at $2.77 per gallon Wednesday. By comparison, the most expensive gallon was at Valero at 500 E Main St, where a gallon of regular was selling for $2.89.

Accidental Shooting near Nine Mile Ridge

Salem, AR – An accidental gunshot near Nine Mile Ridge has sent one Arkansas woman to the hospital. The event occurred on July 20, 2021. A 33-year old woman was sitting outside in a chair with a loaded .22 semi-auto pistol in her lap. When she stood up, the pistol began to fall. The woman grabbed at the gun as it fell, causing the gun to fire. The bullet hit her upper thigh and passed completely through. The victim was flown by air ambulance to a nearby hospital for treatment.
