NE Congressman Smith Announces Upcoming Staff Mobile Offices Including a Stop in Arthur County

Constituents of Third District Congressman Adrian Smith (R-NE) are invited to meet with a representative of his office at upcoming Mobile Offices in Arthur, South Sioux City, Franklin, Loup City, Burwell, and Auburn. At a mobile office, Third District residents can meet directly with a member of Smith’s staff about federal issues and take advantage of the services available through his office. Smith, who has offices in Grand Island and Scottsbluff, will provide his mobile office and a staff member at the following times and locations:

Arthur County Schools Alters Classes Due to Illness

According to a Facebook post from Arthur County Schools; on Wednesday January 19, 39% of our Elementary students were absent, and 22% of our high school students were absent. Our health department has been consulted and has approved this plan to help mitigate the situation. We are taking the following precautions and disinfecting our school buildings to help minimize continued spread of illness. According to the previously mentioned social media post; Our K-6 elementary students will remain out of school until Wednesday January 26.

Arthur County dominates Creek Valley 72-22

ARTHUR, Neb. (KNOP) - The Wolves of Arthur County are howling in victory after a 50-point home win over Creek valley 72-22. Arthur County was dominant early and often, leading 24-0 after the first quarter. Early in the second, Talan Storer found Dakota Storer over the middle for an easy score to make it 32-0. On the next drive for the home team, a pitch back to Bryce Hanna was a trick as he dialed launch codes all the way to the end zone, where Edward Daly won the jump ball, adding to their lead.

May Teacher Of The Month From Arthur Public Schools

Congratulations to Mrs. Lynn Channer, longtime Teacher at Arthur Public Schools. Mrs. Channer is retiring this month after 33 years. Channer stopped by the Eagle Communications Studio to pick up her gift from North Plattes' Prairie Friends & Flowers.
