Mercersburg man reported missing by mother, police seek public's help finding him

MERCERSBURG, Pa. — Mercersburg police are asking for the public's help in locating a missing borough man whose mother lost contact with him in March. Jaime Jay Mickus Jr., 34, was reported missing to the Mercersburg Police Department by his concerned mother, Linda Mae Mickus, of Broadalbin, N.Y., on May 10. She last heard from him via text message on March 22, police said in a news release Friday.

Commencement sunny and bright for Berkeley Springs High School Class of 2022

The Class of 2022 took their last steps across the Berkeley Springs High School football field as students on Thursday, May 26 at the 133rd Annual Commencement Program. Weather was bright and sunny for the 113 graduates and their families who gathered on the field to celebrate the accomplishments of the class. Cadence Carpenter welcomed those gathered and introduced the guests. Britney Huntley introduced speaker Diana Hiles. Principal Mitch Nida recognized Salutatorian Harly Didawick and Valedictorian Haden Fincham, both of whom talked to their fellow classmates about the road ahead for all those leaving the school as graduates.

A development company has asked Morgan County planners to review their plans for a 48-acre, 173-site campground just east of Great Cacapon below the Panorama Overlook. The owner of the property is listed as Two Rivers Land Co. LLC of Berkeley Springs and the developer of record is Scenic LLC, also of Berkeley Springs.
