Lane closures coming to section of Columbia Pike

A section of Columbia Pike will be reduced to one lane in each direction starting next week. The lane closure, which is set to start Monday and stretch into January 2023, will run about a third of a mile from S. Wakefield Street to S. George Mason Drive. It will help make way for latest phase of the Columbia Pike Multimodal Street Improvements project.

Swimmers from Arlington pools place high in all-star races

Violet Mullen for the Overlee Flying Fish and Diego Ramos of the Fort Myer Squids were the two double-race winners from Arlington pools at recent season-ending individual all-star swimming meets. Covid cases dropping in Arlington, though county remains in CDC ‘medium’ level

ARLINGTON, Va. (WJLA) — A Virginia police officer has been arrested for assaulting a woman repeatedly after they left a nightclub early Friday morning, police said. Arlington County Police officer William Hahn, 34, and the woman got into a verbal dispute as they were driving in a car.
