Oklahoma men charged in alleged torture, murder of missing mom from Arkansas

A missing Arkansas mother of three was found dead this week in Oklahoma – where investigators say they believe she was tortured, murdered and left weighted down in a pond. Three men have been arrested in connection with the death of Tara Strozier, a 40-year-old from Fort Smith, Arkansas, who was last seen alive about 20 miles away across state lines in Cameron, Oklahoma, on July 17, according to the Fort Smith Police Department.

ROGERS, Ark. — A firefighter was arrested after allegedly performing a drive-by shooting of his own home where his girlfriend and a child were staying. Travis Harp, 33, was arrested on Friday and charged with felony “unlawful discharge of a firearm from a vehicle” and a “terroristic act,” according to a probable cause affidavit, KNWA reported.

HOT SPRINGS, Ark. (AP) - Three Arkansas police officers have been placed on administrative leave after a man died while in their custody. Officers with the Hot Springs Police Department had placed 30-year-old Brandon Klorik in custody after responding to a welfare check call at around 9:45 a.m. Saturday, officials said.

A Chidester man died in a fiery crash Saturday morning in Ouachita County, according to an Arkansas State Police crash report. At 9:40 a.m., Christopher Heath, 35, was driving east on Arkansas 24 in Chidester when his 2011 Ford Fusion ran off the road on the left, the report read.

Car wrecks, catches fire in Chidester, driver dies

Christopher Heath, 35, of Chidester died about 9:40 a.m. Saturday after his vehicle wrecked and caught fire on Arkansas 24 in Chidester (Ouachita County). According to a preliminary Arkansas State Police report, Heath was driving a 2011 model Ford Fusion east on Arkansas 24. The car ran off the left side of the road, struck a tree and caught fire with Heath trapped inside.
