Update: Fargo woman dies from motorcycle crash Sunday evening

(Fargo, ND) -- The woman who was involved in a motorcycle crash off South University Drive Sunday evening has died. The North Dakota Highway Patrol, in an update shared with WDAY Radio, has announced that 21-year-old Tessa Holt has passed away from her injuries suffered during the crash that happened just before 7:50 p.m. Sunday.

Woman critically injured in Fargo motorcycle crash

FARGO, N.D. (KFGO) – A motorcycle driver was seriously injured in a crash in Fargo on Sunday. The State Patrol says two motorcycles were traveling south on University Drive south of I-94 shortly before 8 p.m. when one of the drivers lost control and laid the cycle down on its side, throwing the rider off. The second motorcycle then struck the rider of the other cycle before landing on its side.

Deputy strikes stop sticks, suspects on the run after early morning metro pursuit

CLAY COUNTY, Minn. (Valley News Live) - Local law enforcement officials are looking for people involved in an early morning police chase which spanned across the metro. Clay County Sherriff Mark Empting said around 3:15 a.m. on Monday, June 27 a Clay County deputy tried to pull over a car near the intersection of Highway 10 and 34th Street in Moorhead. When the driver didn’t pull over, the deputy began a pursuit.

— — — A Sunday night crash involving two motorcycles in Fargo sent one biker to the hospital with serious life-threatening injuries. The North Dakota Patrol reports both motorcycles were heading south of South University Drive when one lost control throwing the rider to the ground. The second motorcycle struck the rider on the first bike and was tossed as well.

Clay, Cass County authorities continue search for chase suspect

(Fargo, ND) -- A suspect or suspects remain on the run after leading several area law enforcement agencies on a cross-county chase early Monday morning. Clay County Sheriff Mark Empting tells WDAY Radio that at approximately 3:11 a.m, a Deputy attempted to conduct a traffic stop on a vehicle near the intersection of Highway 10 and 34th Street in Moorhead. The vehicle he was attempting to stop had fled from the Moorhead Police Department and did not have any vehicle registration displayed. The driver did not stop for the deputy’s emergency lights and siren and a pursuit was initiated.

FAA, police investigating after laser pointed at NDHP aircraft

FARGO (KVRR) – The Federal Aviation Administration is investigating after a laser was pointed at a North Dakota Highway Patrol airplane Saturday night. Highway Patrol Captain Bryan Niewind says the incident happened while the airplane was conducting a speeding surveillance operation with local law enforcement over Fargo and West Fargo.

(Fargo, ND) -- No injuries were reported after a Semi caught fire on I-29 Sunday afternoon in Fargo. The North Dakota Highway Patrol says 38-year-old Ranbir Singh was headed southbound on the roadway near mile marker 66 when his back rear brakes burst into flames. Singh then pulled over and got out of the Semi as the trailer became engulfed in fire.

Semi fire snarls I-29 traffic in Fargo

A semi traveling south on I-29 in Fargo burned when the brakes of the trailer caught fire this afternoon (Sunday). The driver pulled over to the shoulder around 1:15 p.m. and the rear of the trailer became engulfed in flames. Fargo Fire arrived on scene and extinguished the blaze. The 38 year of driver from Winnipeg was uninjured in the event.

Abortion clinic in Fargo moving to Moorhead following Supreme Court ruling

(Fargo, ND) -- The lone abortion clinic in North Dakota reports raising more than a half-million dollars to move across the border to Moorhead, Minnesota. The Red River Women’s Clinic in Fargo will have to shut down 30 days after the U-S Supreme Court removed the constitutional right to an abortion. North Dakota has a so-called trigger law outlawing the procedure. Clinic operator Tammi Kromenaker says she has secured a location in Moorhead. A GoFundMe page set up raised more than 560-thousand dollars from nearly seven thousand donors as of late Sunday morning.
