William “Bill” Meldrum, Sr., age 81, of Empire, and formerly of Linwood, passed away Monday, June 27, 2022, at his home in Empire, Michigan. William was born December 28, 1940, to the late Arnold and Irene (Foco) Meldrum. William was an Army Veteran where he served as an expert Marksman. William retired from Bay City Chevrolet in 1987 where he worked as a laborer for 21 years. William is survived by: his wife of 55 years, Laura (Dunn); son, William Jr. (Ann Marie) Meldrum; daughter, Rebecca (Aaron) Smalley; grandsons, Brandon Genow, Eric Meldrum, Justin Genow and Ryan Meldrum; sister, Colleen Irving; sisters-in-law, Rosalie Meldrum and Janet Dunn; and several nieces and nephews.
