A Roseburg man was cited after an alleged DUII wreck by the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office early Friday. A DCSO report said at about 12:40 a.m. a deputy responded to a sedan off the road near OC Brown Park on Buckhorn Road in the Dixonville area. The driver was allegedly found to be intoxicated. He provided a blood alcohol content level of .18, which is over two times the legal level of intoxication. The man’s vehicle was towed. He was cited for DUII and for driving while suspended and was released.

A standoff with a suicidal man in Jackson Township ended tragically when officers were forced to take action on Thursday night, Pennsylvania State Police reported. On Friday morning, PSP stated that their Fern Ridge station received a 911 call from Isabella Carroll of Jackson Township around 8:04 p.m. on June 23, stating that her husband, Keith Carroll, was depressed, had locked himself in a bedroom, and was threatening to kill himself and shoot at police.
A White Township man was sentenced to serve time in state prison for charges related to shooting at his child’s mother in 2020. District Attorney Bob Manzi announced in a news release that 34-year-old Todd Jakosh will serve four to eight years in state prison after shooting at his child’s mother after he was served a final protection from abuse order in July 2020. At that time, Jakosh assaulted the mother after the two were in a verbal argument, causing both injuries to her and damage to her property. The mother filed a PFA after the incident and Jakosh was ordered to not have any contact with her.

The Brookville Borough Police recently helped a person with a weapon who expressed suicidal intentions surrender without incident. On June 18th around 10 in the morning the Brookville PD responded to the area of Euclid Avenue for a report of a man in distress with a weapon. After an hour of negotiations the man surrendered his weapon and himself.
