Mob seen on video looting 7-Eleven store in Los Angeles

LOS ANGELES - The LAPD is trying to track down a mob of people that looted a 7-Eleven store.Surveillance video shows the crowd grabbing anything and everything off the shelves: snacks, drinks, cigarettes, and lottery tickets.At least one man was seen throwing merchandise at an employee. Police say the crowd first shut down the intersection outside with vehicles doing donuts and dangerous stunts. They plan to start seizing cars at sideshows."If they're gonna start doing this kind of stuff, inconveniencing people, and taking over, cars are gonna start disappearing real soon," said a law enforcement official. Police say they have dusted the counter for fingerprints.

Hit-and-Run Driver Shatters Long-Time Dream of Couple Married for 50 Years

The family of a 67-year-old man killed by a hit-and-run driver returned to the site of the crash Thursday looking for answers. Family of Elfego Andrade gathered with friends near Chapman Avenue and Ladera Vista Drive in Fullerton. Andrade was biking to work early Thursday when he was struck from behind and killed by the driver of a green 1999 Ford F-250 pickup who stopped after the crash, drove up onto the sidewalk, then drove off.

Arrest made in hit-and-run that killed 67-year-old man in Fullerton

Fullerton police arrested a man wanted in connection with a hit-and-run on Thursday that left a 67-year-old man dead. The initial incident occurred near Chapman Avenue and Ladera Vista Drive Thursday morning at around 5 a.m., when the driver of a white Ford F-250 struck a bicyclist from behind, throwing him from his bike into a brick planter. The driver then fled the scene. The bicyclist was rushed to a nearby hospital for treatment, where he was later pronounced dead. According to police, the suspect was last seen running from his vehicle on foot after he came to a stop near Jacaranda Place and Delphine Place by a witness who had followed him from the scene.As they investigated the collision, police received a call from the driver who was turning himself in. They arrested 21-year-old Anaheim resident Jonathan Ocampo for felony hit-and-run and vehicular manslaughter. Ocampo is being held on $500,000 bail. The identity of the 67-year-old man "will be released by the Orange County Coroner at a time they deem appropriate," police said.

On August 8, 2022, at approximately 5:30 p.m., a Glendale PD sergeant was directing traffic on the 200 block of N. Maryland Ave. when they noticed a vehicle with a shattered windshield. The sergeant spoke with the driver, 39-year-old Vladimir Karkmazyan of North Hollywood, and during the investigation, the sergeant learned that the license plate affixed to the vehicle had been reported lost/stolen. Assisting units arrived, and a vehicle search produced a loaded firearm, a large amount of cash, and the license plates that matched the vehicle’s vin number. Karkmazyan was subsequently arrested and booked for carrying a loaded firearm in public and for receiving known stolen property.
