According to the recent U.S. census, Utah was the fastest-growing state in the nation between 2010 and 2020, increasing its population at a blisteringly fast rate of 18.4%. And in its southwest corner, Washington County, with its stunning vistas, National Park access, recreation opportunities and warm, sunny climate led the state in that trend, attracting nearly 50,000 new residents over the last decade, a 36% increase over its 2010 population.

Save up to $0.78 per gallon - survey shows cheapest gas station in St George

(ST GEORGE, UT) Gas prices vary across in the St George area, but if you’re willing to head for the cheapest station, you could be saving up to $0.78 per gallon. Costco at 835 N 3050 E was the cheapest station in the area, according to a survey by GasBuddy, with regular listed at $3.19 per gallon Wednesday. By comparison, the most expensive gallon was at Texaco at 1409 E St George Blvd, where a gallon of regular was selling for $3.97.

Zion National Park rangers investigating after vehicles burglarized

SPRINGDALE, Utah, June 11, 2021 (Gephardt Daily) — Zion National Park rangers are investigating after vehicles were burglarized inside the park. “On May 25, two vehicles were burglarized at a hiking trailhead in Zion National Park,” said a news release. “Credit cards, among other items, were stolen and subsequently used to purchase gift cards at the Walmart in Cedar City the same day. This may be related to other burglaries in the region, and information on the suspects, if known, is requested.”
