APPANOOSE COUNTY, Iowa (KCRG) - The Appanoose County Sheriff’s Office have ended their nearly 4 day-long manhunt. Officials say that Tuesday at approximately 3:50 pm, the Appanoose County Sheriff’s Office conducted a search warrant in the 500 block of W. Washington St in Centerville, resulting in the arrest of David Boley.

Search continues for man who allegedly assaulted deputy near Iconium

ICONIUM, Iowa (KYOU) - Appanoose County law enforcement officials are still seeking the whereabouts of a man who they said assaulted a sheriff’s deputy. David Duane Boley, 33, was apparently seen by local residents near the cemetery in Iconium at around 9:45 a.m. on Sunday. He is 5 feet 10 inches tall, weighs 280 pounds, has brown eyes and brown hair. His head may be shaved, according to officials. Boley has several tattoos, including the letters “NY” on his left shoulder, a burning cross on his left forearm, a logo for the Green Bay Packers on his left arm, and a skull on his left calf.

Men wanted in Davenport, Appanoose County arrested Tuesday

Two Iowa fugitives are now jailed in separate cases. U.S. Marshals arrested 20-year-old Kazius Childress late Tuesday in Davenport. Childress is charged with two murders in Cedar Rapids in January. David Boley was found Tuesday afternoon in a home in Centerville, along with his wife, Cristina. The manhunt began after authorities say Boley struck Appanoose County Deputy Gary Buckallew in the head on Saturday, causing several injuries. Boley is facing several charges, including assault causing serious injury, disarming a peace officer of a dangerous weapon, possession of meth, drug distribution to a person under 18, sexual abuse, incest, and child endangerment. His wife is charged with aiding and abetting burglary and child endangerment.

David Boley, 33, is armed and dangerous and should not be approached, the sheriff's office said. In a release, they say Deputy Sheriff Gary Buckallew responded to a report of a suspicious person in Moravia on Saturday. That suspect was later identified as Boley, who was found to have a gun on him.
