LANSING, Mich. — Michigan State Senator Kim LaSata voted in support of the fiscal year 2023 state budget plan Friday. Sturgis Hospital has had to consider closing its doors in past weeks but is now is expected to receive $11 million in funding from the state budget, which was approved Thursday by the Senate.

Hillsdale College on Thursday named R.P. White as the new head coach for track and field. White is a Hillsdale native and a graduate of Hillsdale High School. He has been an assistant coach for the Chargers’ cross country and track programs for more than a decade. He started as an assistant coach under then-head coach Jeff Forino in 2011.
