FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WANE) – Police are investigating a shooting on Fort Wayne’s southeast side that left a man critically hurt. Fort Wayne Police and medics were called around 2:30 p.m. to the 5100 block of Bowser Avenue, near East Fairfax Avenue south of East Pettit Avenue, on a report of a shooting.

Suspect in deadly stabbings charged with murder

HUNTINGTON, Ind. (WANE) — The man arrested after police said he stabbed four people in Huntington last week was arraigned Monday. James L. Bonewits, 27, faces two counts of Murder and two counts of Attempted Murder related to the violence that unfolded around 7:20 p.m. Thursday in the 600 block of Whitelock Street, near the county fairgrounds.

Police investigating shooting on city’s southeast side that left one injured

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WOWO) – The Fort Wayne Police Department is investigating a shooting after receiving reports of gunfire in the 5100 block of Bowser Avenue. Police were called shortly before 2:30 p.m. Monday afternoon. On arrival, officers located one male behind a residence in the area suffering from apparent gunshot wounds. He was given aid and then transported to a local hospital.
