Brandt Pope, age 91, of Marshall and formerly of Lynd, Minnesota, died on Thursday, May 12, 2022, at the Avera Morningside Heights Care Center in Marshall. Funeral Services are 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, May 18, 2022, at Hamilton Funeral Home in Marshall, Minnesota. Interment will follow in the Lynd City Cemetery. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service on Wednesday, from 1:00 – 2:00 p.m., also at the Hamilton Funeral Home in Marshall.

Helen L. Petersen, age 92, of Tyler, Minnesota, died peacefully on Monday, May 9, 2022 at the Good Samaritan Communities in Pipestone, Minnesota. Visitation was held Thursday, May 12, from 5-8 p.m. with rosary at 5 p.m. and a prayer service at 7 p.m. at St. Dionysius Catholic Church in Tyler.

Mrs. John Conway, of Woodstock, was the victim of quite a painful accident day before yesterday. She was standing on top of a sewing machine table stripping the paper off the ceiling in a room in her house, when the table suddenly tipped over and Mrs. Conway was thrown to the floor in such a manner as to break her right ankle. Dr. Carr of this city was called at once, and mended the broken bone, yet it will be quite a little time before Mrs. Conway will be able to use the injured limb again.

Memorial services for Guila Kurtz, age 97, of Echo will take place at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, May 21, 2022, at Rock Valle Lutheran Church rural Echo. Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Friday, May 20, 2022, at Sunset Funeral Home in Echo and will continue one hour prior to the service on Saturday at the church. Private family interment will follow in the Echo City Cemetery.

A funeral service will be held on Saturday, May 21, 2022, at 2:00 PM at St. John’s Evangelical Lutheran Church in Lake Benton. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service. Interment will follow at St. John Immanuel Lutheran Cemetery in Verdi, Minnesota.
