Kraft Macaroni & Cheese Gummies Spotted in Poughkeepsie, NY

Just because you can make something doesn't mean that you should and this is all of the proof that you need. I have a bit of a sweet tooth. There isn't much candy that I wouldn't touch but I think if someone offered me some Kraft Macaroni & Cheese gummies I might not only pass on them but I would probably run in the other direction. I was at the Poughkeepsie Galleria this past weekend and I ended up inside a store that I usually don't spend a lot of time in. I was with my wife and she wanted to stop in Five Below. While I was scanning the aisles I saw something that caused me to do an immediate double-take.

New Honduran Restaurant Open In Poughkeepsie, NY

A new Honduran restaurant has opened in the former El Bracero spot in the City of Poughkeepsie. I have to say, when El Bracero closed up shop in the City of Poughkeepsie, it was sad news. It was a go-to place for me and many other city residents for great Mexican food. They closed back in March, and just last month a new restaurant moved into the vacant building.

Popular NY State Park In Need Of Lifeguards

A popular NY state park is hiring lifeguards for the summer season. Summertime and the livin' is easy.... I have many fond memories of Lake Taghkanic with friends and family, and am still making memories these days. I love it there. The park sits adjacent to the Taconic State Parkway in the southern part of Columbia County. The land was donated to the state in 1929 by D. McRae Livingston with the requirement that Lake Charlotte's name would be changed to Lake Taghkanic. A Civilian Conservation Corps was established at the park in 1933, housing laborers tasked with constructing the park's water tower, beach, bathhouse, and cabin area.

That being said, there is another location to add to our list of places for sale in the Hudson Valley.

HV Answers: What Are You Afraid of That Your Friends Find Lame?

I was out with some friends at Wilcox Park, and we were sitting at one of the picnic tables. All of a sudden, I have some kind of buzzing around us. I look around and find a couple of wasps swarming. I hopped up out of my seat and cowered away. It happened so quick that my friends were more shocked by my action than they were to seeing any wasps. Everyone got their laughs in while I shrunk away each time the wasps got near. Honestly, it probably was a hilarious sight to see me get chased around.
