Fayette Man Receives Three Years In Prison For Domestic Violence & Assault

A Fayette, Ohio man was sentenced on June 29, 2022, in the Fulton County Common Pleas Court according to The Fulton County Prosecutor’s Office. Kareem Johnson, 38, previously pleaded guilty to two counts of Domestic Violence and three counts of Assault. On May 26, 2021, he did knowingly cause or attempt to cause physical harm to a family or household member, and during his arrest he did knowingly cause or attempt to cause physical harm to three police officers. On February 2, 2022, he did knowingly cause or attempt to cause physical harm to a family or household member.

Katherinne is 5″1″, 100lbs, brown eyes, and light brown hair that fades to red at the bottom. She was last seen wearing a blue hoodie sweatshirt, light blue wind pants, and had a towel over her head.

Philip A. Johnston, age 68 of Defiance, passed away on Wednesday, June 22, 2022 at his home in Defiance, Ohio. He was born on June 4, 1954 to the late Hilton “Doc” and Lucille (Gilgenbach) Johnston in Defiance. Phil worked for over 30 years at Metal Management until his retirement. He was a life member of the NRA. Phil will be sadly missed by his family and friends.

Fayette SWCD hosts fifth Discovery Camp

Despite the hot weather, the Fayette Soil & Water Conservation District hosted its fifth Discovery Camp for two days at the Fish and Game location with 53 campers attending. Aaron Teter and Noel Lesniak, from the Carnegie Public Library, assisted with registration and staff time to help insure the camp’s success along with Hannah Carter from NRCS.
