Food Lion each year honors individuals and organizations committed to hunger relief in their communities through the Feedys Awards. This year was the seventh that the grocery chain’s organization Food Lion Feeds honored a select group of food banks, volunteers, community leaders, and associates. They recognized those who dedicate their time and talents to providing meals, resources, education and hope to neighbors battling food insecurity in the towns and cities Food Lion serves.

Mrs. Jodonne Marcum Reese, 84, entered into rest on Wednesday, June 22, 2022. Mrs. Reese was born in Lyons, Georgia to the late John Henry and Donnie Mae Kight Marcum. He was a certified welder and mechanic and a boiler maker with Local 26 of Savannah.
