Russ Howard brings love of bicycles to Alma with Lakeside Bike & Golf

ALMA — Russ Howard’s hobby has now become his business. For about 20 years, Russ has been repairing bicycles at his home in Boulder, Colorado. His wife, Julie, is originally from Alma, and the couple own a second home in Alma. When they made the decision to purchase a building in downtown Alma, Russ originally intended to use the space as a rental. Instead, he turned it into Lakeside Bike & Golf.

Oxford man charged in Furnas County sex trafficking case takes plea deal

BEAVER CITY, Neb. — An Oxford man charged in connection to the ongoing Furnas County sex trafficking case has taken a plea deal. According to Furnas County District Court records, Brent Keslar, 40, pled no contest on June 14 to one count of committing negligent child abuse – no injury. In exchange for his plea, prosecutors reduced a charge of first-degree sexual assault to committing negligent child abuse – no injury.

The beautiful baby boy was delivered by Miranda McKellar at 7:54 AM weighing in at 8 lbs. 12 oz. and was 21.75 inches in length. Maternal grandparents are Mike and Sara Crawford of Kit Carson, Colorado. Maternal great-grandparents include Gail and LaDonna Crawford of Eads, Colorado; and Rod and Judy Houser of Kit Carson, Colorado. Paternal grandparents are Tim and Brenda Breth of Oberlin, Kansas. Paternal great-grandparents are (the late) Jerry and Donna Breth of Wichita, Kansas; and Robert (deceased) and Dorie Sand of Hanover, Kansas.
