One person dead after fire in Monroeville

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WOWO) – Our partners in news at ABC 21 report that one person has died as the result of a fire early Sunday morning in Monroeville. Firefighters were called to the area near the 14400 block of SR 101 shortly before 4:30 a.m. At the scene, it was unknown if all people were accounted for, but several had been taken to the hospital.

Several sent to hospital as fire destroys home in Monroeville

MONROEVILLE, Ind. (Fort Wayne’s NBC) - A pre-dawn fire on Sunday burned down a house in Monroeville and sent several people to the hospital. Firefighters were called to the area near the 14400 block of SR 101 South shortly before 4:30 a.m. The Monroeville fire chief said that he is uncertain if all of those at the residence are accounted for, but said several people were taken to the hospital. Their conditions were unknown.

1 confirmed dead in SE Allen County house fire: police

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WANE) – One person died Sunday morning in a house fire that filled the sky with smoke near the 14400 block of SR 101 South. The Allen County Sheriff’s Department confirmed one person, who was initially unaccounted for, died in the fire. Officials with the Monroeville Fire Department said members of the family who escaped the fire were taken to a hospital.
