Pueblos in New Mexico turn to goats for fire management

In early October, just north of Albuquerque on the Sandia Pueblo, the bleating of over 70 Boer and Spanish goats pierced the tranquility of the bosque forest, a gallery of towering cottonwoods and willows on the eastern bank of the Rio Grande that's long been prized for its biodiversity. M’tucci’s to offer 4-day work weeks

M’tucci’s Restaurants announced it’ll offer four-day work week schedules for salaried employees starting Feb. 1, according to a press release. The release said M’tucci’s was one of 30 US-based companies to partner with 4 Day Work Week Global, a New Zealand-based nonprofit that’s launching an international trial to promote four-day work weeks.

Commission OKs zone changes for restaurant, food truck

The Valencia County commission approved two zone changes that will bring a restaurant to a community on the east side of the county and a new food truck to the valley. At the Dec. 15 meeting, the commissioners granted a zone change from Rural Residential 1 to Commercial 1 at 496 Meadow Lake Road to allow for a restaurant on the property, as well as a conditional use permit for an RV park.
