'Dateline' Dives Into the Gruesome Murder of Kelley Clayton and the Bizarre Circumstances Surrounding It

The town of Elmira, N.Y. describes itself as a "great place to live," and for the most part that's true. Sadly, on the evening of September 29, 2015, that would change for one family. Kelley Clayton (35) and her two children were home while her husband, Thomas Clayton, was out for the night playing poker. When he returned home around 12:30 a.m., he would be met with a gruesome scene.

Elmira City School District Honors Retirees

ELMIRA, N.Y. (WETM)- The Elmira City School District Retiree Class of 2022 includes 28 staff members, who collectively taught for 210 years. Yesterday, June 23rd, was a Beecher Elementary retiree party. It honored all three retirees at the elementary school. Each of the schools within the Elmira City School District have a club called the “Sunshine Club”. The club recognizes each retiree and cake was provided at the Beecher Elementary School party via donations from the club.

Elmira man breaks into campground and steals car

An Elmira man was arrested following a larceny investigation. According to a news release, the Schuyler County Sheriff’s Office arrested Jeremy Montgomery, 38, of Elmira for burglary and grand larceny. Charges allege that Montgomery broke into a camper at the Montour Falls Village Marina Campground and stole a vehicle.

PSP DUI checkpoints set in Lackawanna County

LACKAWANNA COUNTY (WBRE/WYOU) — The Pennsylvania State Police (PSP) in Lackawanna announced they will be conducting sobriety checkpoints and roving patrols on the Independence Day holiday weekend.
