6-14-21 fdl pair wins merc national walleye tournament

Chad and Josh Liedke of Fond du Lac are the winners of the 2021 Merc National Walleye Fishing Tournament. The pair caught 23 pounds, 10 ounces of walleye to win the first place prize of a new Lund fishing boat and Merc 150 Pro XS outboard. Tom and Hunter Camp of Fox Lake finished in second place with 22 pounds, nine ounces of walleye.

Former Sheboygan Alderman Throws His Hat into the Ring for Governor

Only a week after Governor Tony Evers announced his plans for reelection, a former Sheboygan City Alderman has thrown his hat into the ring. Job Edmond Hou-Seye served on the Sheboygan City Council from 2015 through 2017 and has attempted to claim a seat on the State Assembly three times. He was unsuccessful each time.

Former Sheboygan Alderman Job Edmond Hou-Seye has announced his bid to become the next Governor of Wisconsin. Hou-Seye, who served as Alderman from 2015-2017 and ran three unsuccessful campaigns for State Assembly in the last 20 years, made the announcement last Friday on his 54th birthday, and will run as a Kennedy-Reagan Democrat in the 2022 fall election.

Germantown district considering refinancing debt

The Germantown School District is discussing options for refunding debt to save money. The School Board was updated on the process during the June 7 board meeting. 6-14-21 attic fire

Nobody was injured in a fire that damaged a Fond du Lac County home. Shortly before midnight Sunday firefighters were called to the David and Paulette Smit home on Lori Lane in the town of Waupun for a report the kitchen ceiling was blistering hot. Firefighters located a fire in the attic and extinguished the fire. The cause of the fire is believed to be electrical.

In August 1949, National Flag Day was established by an act of Congress, which was signed by Harry Truman. However, Flag Day is not an official federal holiday.
