CHICAGO - A man was shot while walking to his car Wednesday night in the Englewood neighborhood. The 33-year-old was approaching his vehicle around 11:30 p.m. when he saw two men, one of whom pulled out a handgun and started shooting at him in the 6500 block of South Green Street, police said.

Chicago Son Pleading For The Return Of His Missing Pregnant Mother

38-year-old Cheretha Morrison is a mother of two living in the Englewood neighborhood on the southwest side of Chicago. The loving and dedicated mother was three months pregnant with her third child. On February 26, 2021, Cheretha dropped her daughter off at Earle Elementary School in the 2000 block of West 62nd Street. Cheretha was supposed to meet with her son in the morning hours of the same day. He tried multiple times to reach his mom by cellphone, but she never answered any of his calls.

CHICAGO (CBS) -- Police are investigating after someone fired shots at bicycle patrol officers Tuesday afternoon near Trumbull Park on the South Side.Around 3 p.m., bike officers were on patrol near 105th Street and Oglesby Avenue, near Trumbull Park, when someone fired shots in their direction., police said.The officers did not return fire, and the shooter fled the scene in a green minivan.No injuries have been reported.Police were still on the scene investigating Tuesday afternoon.
