Anderson Sentenced in Baby Death

(Moorhead, MN) -- Today marked the formal sentencing for Kellie Jo Anderson of Barnesville, she got 35-years behind bars. Anderson pled guilty back on May 3rd in Clay County District Court on second-degree murder against 18-month-old Henry Thomas Anderson. Little Henry suffered multiple injuries, including a fractured jaw, broken ribs, internal bleeding and genital injuries. He had been dead for about 40 minutes, by the time both Kellie Jo, a nurse, and Henry, reached Sanford hospital's ER in Fargo in April 2020.

Barnesville woman 'sorry' for killing foster baby; sentenced to 35 years in prison

Kellie Jo Anderson, 36, of Barnesville, pleaded guilty May 3, in Clay County District Court to a second-degree felony murder charge that accused her of killing 18-month-old Henry Thomas Anderson without intent when she assaulted him at her home on April 24, 2020. In exchange for the plea agreement the original second-degree murder charge that said she killed the child with intent was dismissed.
