2 seriously injured in crash on I-27 in Lubbock

Two people were seriously injured in a single-vehicle crash Saturday evening on Interstate 27 in Lubbock. The Lubbock police Major Crash Investigation Unit by Sunday continued investigating the crash that was reported about 5:11 p.m. Saturday in the northbound access road of Interstate 27 at 27th Street, according to a statement from LPD.

LUBBOCK, Texas (KCBD) - Meet Jennifer, KCBD’s Pet of the Day with Lubbock Animal Services. She is a two-year-old pit bull who has been at the shelter about three weeks. Staff say she is very affectionate and loves to lay in the sun. She’s also up for a game of tug of war. Jennifer is up to date on her shots, is spayed and has a microchip. Her adoption fees for Friday, July 23, have been waived.

McPherson Cellars full list of new events and wine coming soon

LUBBOCK, Texas – The McPherson family has been a pioneering family in grape growing and winemaking in Texas for over 40 years. Their label was created in 2000 to honor the winemaker’s father, Dr. Clinton “Doc” McPherson, considered one of the “Fathers” of the modern Texas wine industry. The winery and tasting room opened in fall of 2008. From the beginning, Kim has advocated the importance of growing varieties that best fit Texas terroir and “planting to the land.” They focus on Mediterranean and Rhone Valley varieties that he feels are best suited for Texas’s warmer climate.
