BALTIMORE (WJZ) — A Dundalk High School teacher is accused of assaulting two freshman students, authorities said Thursday. Andrew Lawrence Rader, 30, of Baltimore, was arrested Wednesday on assault charges in connection with the accusations, Baltimore County Police said. Rader is listed as the chair of the high school’s art department on the school’s website. Baltimore County Schools said he was hired last August, but was “immediately removed from the school and placed on administrative leave once school administration was made aware of allegations of inappropriate behavior in April.” Rader was taken into custody on a warrant charging him with two counts of...

BALTIMORE (WJZ) — WJZ and the Baltimore Orioles on Thursday hosted the 13th Weather Day at Oriole Park at Camden Yards. This popular event was canceled for the past two years in response to restrictions imposed as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic. But on Thursday morning, about 5,000 school children from around the area came to the ballpark for a science lesson from the First Alert Weather Team. Tim, Meg, Bob, Marty and Derek taught the kids about all kinds of weather, from snow to tornadoes. The best part? The students got to stick around and watch the Orioles take on the New York Yankees. Baltimore teen killed at prom after-party, police looking for suspect

Police are looking for suspects in connection to the fatal shooting of a Baltimore teenager at an after-prom party on Friday, May 13. Jasmine Brunson, 18, was shot and killed after 12:30 a.m. that evening while attending a "junior after-prom party" on the 1700 block of East Lafayette Avenue, according to the Baltimore Police Department.

One Juvenile Stabbed And Another Arrested After Stabbing Inside Havre De Grace Restaurant

BALTIMORE (WJZ) — Havre de Grace Police have arrested a juvenile male who allegedly stabbed another juvenile male inside of a to-go restaurant on Pulaski Highway Monday, according to authorities. Officers found the injured juvenile suffering from stab-related lacerations around 3:50 p.m.. He was taken to a hospital to receive medical treatment for his injuries, police said. That person is in stable condition at this time, according to authorities. Havre de Grace officers observed several juveniles fleeing from the site of the stabbing. One of them matched the description of the suspect, police said. That person ran from the police before they were able to detain him, according to authorities. They are being charged as an adult for first-degree assault, second-degree assault, carrying a dangerous weapon with intent to cause injury, reckless endangerment, and resisting arrest, police said. The assault is under investigation. Officers are hoping to determine the motive of the juvenile who faces criminal charges. Anyone with information on the assault can contact Detective Sgt. Park Heights “Renaissance Row” Apartment Building Opens With New Affordable Housing Units

BALTIMORE (WJZ) — A new apartment building that is part of a neighborhood revitalization effort opened up to the Park Heights community on Thursday.  Property developer Pennrose, city and state officials, and the non-profit group Park Heights Renaissance cut the ribbon on the Renaissance Row apartment building after two years of construction.
