PennDOT provides update on Renovo Route 120 and Island Road bridge improvements

CLEARFIELD, PA – PennDOT Thursday provided an update on bridge preservation work on two bridges in Clinton County, one in Renovo, one on the Island Road east of Lock Haven. As for Route 120 (Huron Avenue) over the railroad at the west end of Renovo: During the last week of July, temporary traffic signals will be set to “flash” on the Route 120 bridge in Renovo near the Dollar General store. Starting August 2, those signals will enforce an alternating traffic pattern as work gets underway. This bridge spans the Norfolk Southern railroad and is 202 feet long. It carries an average of almost 1,400 vehicles each day. Preservation work will improve its sufficiency rating from fair to good. Work will last into November. Work had b.

Portion of Pike Street in Lemont to Be Closed for Two Weeks

A section of Pike Street in Lemont will be closed for two weeks beginning Tuesday as work continues on the traffic calming and accessibility project in the village. The street will be closed between Mount Nittany Road and Dale Street “to allow for more intensive construction work as part of phase 2” of the project, according to a College Township news release.

Heavy Truck Traffic Expected to Cause Delays, Noise Early Thursday Morning on West College Avenue

A concrete pour for a new apartment building under construction in Ferguson Township is expected to cause traffic delays and noise disturbance early Thursday morning. Sheetz Lowers Some Gas Prices Below $4

Just in time for the Fourth of July weekend, Sheetz convenience stores have cut the price of some gas below $4 per gallon. The Altoona-based company has reduced Unleaded 88 to $3.99 a gallon and E85 to $3.49 a gallon for a limited time through the July 4th holiday travel season at all of its stores, according to a news release.
