The Blonde Bistro Moving to New Location with On-Site Brew House

A Bellefonte-area restaurant is headed to a new location and adding its own craft beer to the menu. The Blonde Bistro owner Ciara Semack confirmed Friday on Facebook that this week she finalized the purchase the former Old Farmhouse Eatery and Brewery building at 226 Nittany Valley Drive in Zion.

When it comes to gourmet burgers and shakes in Happy Valley, BRGR offers a menu and atmosphere unlike any other. BRGR is located at 122 W. College Ave., the former Citizens Bank building. According to manager Dan Geiger, the location housed the first-ever bank in State College. First National Bank of State College had operated out of a room in the postmistress’s house from 1907 until moving in 1911 into the brand-new 122 W. College Ave. building.

Sowers Market offers home delivery of local produce

HOUSERVILLE — Houserville now has its own Community Supported Agriculture (CSA) farm. Sowers Market supplies locally grown vegetables and greens to Sowers Harvest Café in State College. Also, since May 2021, it has offered CSA subscriptions to the public for weekly or biweekly deliveries of vegetables and fruit.

Penn State Berkey Creamery Unveils New Arts Festival Ice Cream Flavor

Penn State’s Berkey Creamery newest flavor celebrates the Central Pennsylvania Festival of the Arts, and you won’t need to wait until the festival to try it for free. Festival Fudge is vanilla ice cream with a raspberry swirl and chunks of chocolate fudge. Arts Festival staff and volunteers will be serving dishes of the new flavor from 5 to 7 p.m. on July 1 outside Schlow Centre Region Library as part of Downtown State College’s First Friday.

Penn State Berkey Creamery announces new flavor for Arts Fest 2022

The Penn State Berkey Creamery will introduce a new ice cream flavor for the 2022 Central Pennsylvania Festival of the Arts, according to a recent release. The new flavor is called "Festival Fudge" and is composed of vanilla ice cream with raspberry swirls and chunks of chocolate fudge, according to the release.

Happy Valley Restaurant Week To Begin June 20

It’s the most delicious time of the year for the State College foodies. Happy Valley Restaurant Week will kick off on Monday, June 20, and conclude on Sunday, June 26. For one week only, more than 20 local restaurants will offer special dishes on their menus.
