Students, community members and visitors craving finger food or summer cocktails now have another dining option in State College. A new downtown American bar and eatery attached to the Scholar Hotel State College at 201 E. Beaver Ave. recently opened its doors. Social Food + Drink aims to provide a social environment for hotel guests and local residents looking to enjoy drinks and simple food.

Chop't Creative Salad Company to open first Pa. eatery in Newtown; township supervisors approve conditional use

NEWTOWN TOWNSHIP >> Chop’t Creative Salad Company will open its first eatery in Pennsylvania at the Village at Newtown. The Newtown Township Board of Supervisors on June 9 cleared the way for the opening, voting unanimously to grant the New York-based business conditional use approval for the eatery, which will serve fresh salads and salad bowls marketed as global street food.

Man at Penns Creek Raceway damages victim's go-kart in "fit of rage": PSP Selinsgrove

Penns Creek, Pa. – A Middleburg man who was unhappy with the results of a race at Penns Creek Raceway in Center Township allegedly damaged another contestant’s go-kart. According to Pennsylvania State Police at Selinsgrove, Bryan Bowersox, 33, was at the raceway on Mountain Road and Pioneer Drive the evening of June 12. He had participated in a race and was “dissatisfied with the results,” according to the police report.
