The Kentucky Blood Center will be having a blood drive in the Adair County community! The blood drive will take place Tuesday, June 15th from 12-5pm CST at the Columbia Church of Christ Fellowship Hall! The church is located at 501 Jamestown Street here in Columbia, you can visit kybloodcenter.org or call 606-305-3384 to set up an appointment! Please not: Online appointments are shown and made in EST. For example, if you make an appointment online for 2pm, please arrive at the blood drive at 1pm CST! Anyone who donates this day will be entered in to win a 2021 Toyota C-HR!

Down to the last bite

MONTICELLO, Ky--- The first annual Pool Hall Burger Eating Contest came down to the last bite. Daniel Upchurch took home the trophy after successfully eating 15 burgers and one bite of his 16th burger in the final seconds of this one hour competition on June 5. This was enough to beat fellow competitor Zach Sparks with his record of 15 burgers.

Fire Dept. to collect donations for Crusade for Children this weekend

The Russell Springs Fire Department will be out this weekend at the intersection of Highway 127 and Highway 80 collecting donations for the WHAS Crusade for Children. Fire crews will be set up beginning at 11 a.m. on Friday. Motorists are asked to remain aware that people will be out and exercise caution when traveling through the area.

East Clay Volunteer Fire Departments Hosts Fish Fry and Auction

The East Clay Volunteer Fire Department is excited to invite people to their Annual Fish Fry Fundraiser on Saturday. Finance Manager Larry Shell said in addition to the fish fry, there will also be a live auction with many of the items donated by community members.
