Legally Blind Woman from Portland, Maine, Showed Mount Katahdin Who is Boss

This story is super inspiring and makes me want to be more adventurous and also more grateful for what I have. According to WGME, Sara Nichols from Portland, Maine, had a real life nightmare play out in real life. Seven years ago she was at the beach and noticed she was starting to lose her sight. As you can imagine, she was forced to completely adjust her life and everything in it. The site states that at first she was devastated and focusing on what this disability had taken from her. But once she realized what she was still able to do after being affected with vision loss, she wasn't as devastated anymore.

Wanna See a Moose? Go On a Tour in Maine With Northwoods Outfitters

It’s New England, there are plenty of Places to See a Moose. The only place I don’t want to see a moose is on the highway. I understand they are slow, lumbering creatures, and they are so large that the eyes don’t glow in your headlights so when I am on a super dark highway. A bit of googling on the internet and I found a great way to find moose. I’m planning on going on a moose safari.

Memorial Erected for the 7 Victims of the Motorcycle Crash in Randolph New Hampshire

The Jarheads Motorcycle Club has unveiled a memorial near the crash site of 7 of their members according to wmur.com. It’s hard to believe it's been almost two years since the tragedy happened when a truck driving the wrong way caused the crash and the loss of 7 motorcyclists. The crash happened on June 21, 2019, on Route 2 in Randolph, New Hampshire. The memorial stone was unveiled last Saturday where friends, family, and supporters gathered to honor those who lost their lives that day. The memorial stone lists the names of each of the victims and references the “fallen seven” according to the news outlet.

If you've visited a handful of major cities around the United States recently, you've probably noticed an interesting new trend. Ordinary people driving ordinary cars that are completely wrapped in advertisements. It's not an uncommon practice for cabs or buses, but your 2011 Toyota Corolla? Seems kind of strange. Luchador Tacos New Windham, Maine Location Set To Open Friday

Luchador Tacos, the popular East LA style Mexican restaurant that started as a take-out stand in South Paris, is opening its third location on Friday, June 25 in Windham. Lucahdor is owned by Katherine Mitchell who moved to Maine from Los Angeles and opened up a small stand in South Paris across from the Oxford County Courthouse, preparing tacos and burritos like you'd find back in LA. It was a huge success and Luchador moved into its own building on Nichols Street in South Paris, which was the former home of "The Corner Store" a small, locally-owned convenience store. Later still, Lucador moved across town to Twin Town Plaza with even more space. But the growth didn't stop there.

See Mortgage Free Home Built in 12 Days for Maine Veteran in Oxford

Tucked away down a dirt road, the most remarkable feat was accomplished in just 12 days. A Soldier's Journey Home-based in Tennessee and Tunnel to Towers Foundation built a home for Maine native and veteran Christy Gardner. Christy is a veteran who was wounded in a peacekeeping mission back in 2006. She lost both her legs below the knee and was deemed 100% disabled.
