Missoula PaddleHeads Announce ‘Sandlot’ Style Game This Friday

You're killing me, smalls! This ball game is going to be so fun. One of my all-time favorite summertime Missoula activities is enjoying a warm evening, a cold beverage paired with a stadium hot dog, and watching our own PaddleHeads baseball team take home a win. It’s as American as apple pie. In the last few years the PaddleHeads promotions team has really stepped up their game, making event nights even better for everyone. This Friday they have announced a “Sandlot Style” game against the Great Falls Voyagers, and the promo video via their Facebook is nothing short of hilarious. They even went as far as to mix up the back and forth insults to make it local. There is even a “California” jab in there.

Driving Awareness Signs Really Starting to Flourish in Missoula

It seems like only a few months ago that I would see just an occasional one of these here and there while driving in Missoula. But lately, BOOM! Like flowers in the springtime, they seem to be blooming everywhere. And while this is not a new awareness campaign, nor are its grass roots in Missoula, it appears our town, like so many others, is embracing the simple notion of stating the obvious and reminding motorists to be more courteous and conscientious. It's almost too simple, right?

Glacier National Park Warns of Possible Avalanches…IN JUNE

It has been an interesting spring to say the least. But, here we are, on the eve of the summer solstice. That's right, tomorrow marks the OFFICIAL start to summer, the longest day of the year for us in the northern hemisphere, a time of year when people tend to complain about the summer heat and the need for sunscreen. Missoula’s Fireworks Facts & Possible Fines for the 4th of July

I feel like the weather has my internal clock all mixed up. The 4th of July is just two weeks away! But my brain won't accept that to be a fact since we really haven't had any prolonged runs of nice weather leading up to it. As we get set to celebrate another Independence Day, it always brings questions about what we can and can't do when it comes to fireworks around Missoula. It's good to be in the know to avoid any trouble or fines that may come with violating fireworks ordinances.
