Beginning this Friday, New Yorkers could get $100 if they get the COVID-19 vaccine at a city run site!. There have been a ton of incentives for New Yorkers to get vaccinated - free food, free baseball tickets, free drinks, and so much more. Now, New York City is offering money to those that get their first dose of the COVID-19 vaccine at a city run site beginning July 30th.

Bryant Park Announces Full Summer Lineup For Iconic Movie Nights Series

Bryant Park has announced the full movie lineup in its iconic Bryant Park Movie Nights series, which will be returning this summer after being paused due to the pandemic. Entering the 27th season, the series is a welcome return to outdoor events in New York City. Due to popular demand, Bryant Park Movie Nights, presented by Verizon, will run on Monday and, for the first time, Tuesday evenings, from August 23rd through September 28th on the Bryant Park lawn. All films begin at sunset, with the lawn open at 5pm for picnicking. With the series starting later in the summer, an earlier sunset will encourage a broader audience to attend.

Queens Substitute Art Teacher Threatened To Shoot Middle Schoolers

A substitute teacher in Queens has been arrested for threatening to shoot a classroom full of middle schoolers on Wednesday. 52-year-old Alejandro Rocha allegedly told the art class at Walter Crowley School “If you won’t do as you’re told, I’m gonna shoot you…and yes, I have a gun.” He admitted to making the comment and apologized for making the “bad joke” to the group of unruly 11 and 12-year-olds. He’s been charged with making a terroristic threat and suspended without pay.

Two New York Men Tried To Disguise Cocaine As A Cake

Two New York men are in custody in Maine, accused of disguising 200-thousand dollars worth of cocaine as cake. Chelsey Cochran and John Cedeno were arrested after a pit stop on the Maine Turnpike earlier in the week. Authorities describe the fake cake's packaging as saying it weighed "one kilogram" and also said in Spanish "perfect white and ideal flow."

New York Mailman Allegedly Delivered Mail Drunk

Mail delivery was slow Saturday for some in Seneca Falls, New York, and police say it was because a U.S. Postal Worker allegedly was too drunk to deliver the mail; if he was, it didn’t stop him from trying. Police say a 56-year-old USPS worker was driving drunk while delivering the Saturday afternoon mail, and he was allegedly so drunk he actually fell out of the mail truck while driving his route. The truck crossed the road and went into a row of bushes, where it came to a stop. He’s been charged with driving while intoxicated, reckless driving, and other violations.

The Yankees-Red Sox may be one of the most heated rivalries in baseball but the two teams (and all of MLB) have come together in banning a fan for life from every stadium. Saturday night, as the Red Sox faced the Yankees in The Bronx, a Yankees fan threw a ball onto the field that hit Red Sox left fielder Alex Verdugo in the back. The fan was immediately ejected from the game. The Yankees themselves banned the fan for life from their stadium, and MLB followed suite banning him from the other 29 ballparks.

Dreissig believes the IRS got her and her mom confused…even though their first and last names are completely different. The FBI says they have foiled a plot by four Iranian operatives to kidnap a journalist based in Brooklyn. Officials said they intended to smuggle her to Iran in hopes of stopping her criticism of human-rights abuses in the Islamic Republic.
